Use this page to route Ventura County release-record questions to the office most likely to hold the record. This private site cannot confirm custody, release a person, pull a booking sheet, correct a court file, or answer for a government office.

This site is not a government office, sheriff's office, jail, court, or corrections department. Custody status and release records must be verified with the agency that created the record.

Ventura Sheriff Records

County jail release records, booking sheets, booking photos, calls for service, and report copies route through the Ventura County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff records page says the office follows the California Public Records Act and may take up to 10 calendar days to respond.

Other Custody Systems

Use California VINE for custody notification and status changes. Use CDCR/CIRIS for state-prison custody. Use BOP for federal custody from 1982 forward. Use ICE ODLS for current or recent immigration custody within that system's limits. None of those systems is a Ventura County jail release record.
